About Joy

Joy Manning was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Joy earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Behavioral Science and Health from the University of Utah.  Joy went on to receive an Early Childhood Special Education Certification through Utah State University.  Currently, Joy is working towards a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis through Arizona State University.

Joy began working with people with developmental disabilities in 1998.  She has experience working with children and adults in a variety of environments including public and private schools, homes, care centers, recreational settings, and orphanages.

Joy began specializing in working with young children with autism in 2007.  In 2009, Joy started her training with Dr. Rick Solomon and his team with the P.L.A.Y. Project.  Joy is a Certified P.L.A.Y. Project Home Consultant, and has been implementing the P.L.A.Y. Principles and Methods in homes and in the school setting.
